CASE SYNOPSIS
Defendants, quondam employees who began a competing identify cleaning business, appealed from a judgment of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court inwards the Second Judicial Department (New York), which found inwards favor of plaintiff quondam employer.

CASE FACTS
Plaintiff sought injunctive too other relief afterwards quondam employees formed a competing identify cleaning service using many of plaintiff's methods too persuaded several of plaintiff's customers to switch companies. The appellate courtroom granted wide injunctive too other relief too defendants appealed.

DISCUSSION
  • The courtroom stated that plaintiff was entitled to injunctive relief because their client listing was a merchandise secret, plaintiff had expended bully amounts of fourth dimension too unloose energy to railroad train it, too the contents of the listing were non easily discernable from whatever other source.

CONCLUSION
The courtroom affirmed the judgment too determined that plaintiff was entitled to enjoin defendants from soliciting its quondam customers, too to recover such damages or loss of profits equally were established to bring resulted from those that had been solicited; however, the courtroom dismissed the residue of the complaint.
